Stained glass
St John's Church (Sint-Janskerk) in Gouda is home to 72 stained-glass windows that rank among the finest in the world. The light that falls through those windows, warm, colourful and ever changing, is the inspiration for everything Gouds Glas is. The name says it all: this is a place rooted in the most remarkable treasure Gouda has.
Joost and Jantine Zekveld opened Gouds Glas with one goal: to create a place where people are truly welcome. Not formal, not distant, but warm, convivial and full of flavour. Joost is an experienced restaurateur who knows Gouda inside out and writes the Gouda Guide. Jantine makes sure every guest feels at home. Together they build, day in, day out, on a place Gouda can be proud of.
Gouds Glas is located at Markt 40, right at the heart of Gouda's historic centre. Open Monday to Saturday for coffee & cake, lunch and dinner. Rated 4.0 on Google Reviews by hundreds of happy guests.

Our kitchen is inspired by Dutch cuisine with Mediterranean influences. We work with produce at its very best: pure, fresh and of good provenance. The menu changes with the seasons, so you always get the very best on your plate.
